What to do when your motorcycle breaks down in Singapore

A breakdown on a Singapore road or expressway is stressful, especially at night. Run these steps in order — safety first, then getting the right help rolling.

1. Get to a safe spot

Switch your hazard lights on. If the bike still rolls and it's safe to do so, move it out of the live lane — a shoulder, a safe lay-by, or the nearest open carpark or petrol station is ideal. On an expressway, put as much distance as you safely can between yourself and moving traffic.

2. Stay visible

Keep the hazards on, and if you carry a reflective vest or triangle, use it. At night, visibility is the difference between a breakdown and a second incident. Stand somewhere you're seen — not behind the bike, but clear of the traffic flow.

3. Don't ride a mechanically-failed bike

It can be tempting to "limp home", but some failures make riding genuinely dangerous: a snapped chain or belt, an oil or coolant leak, a seized or knocking engine, damaged forks or brakes, or a tyre that has lost pressure at speed. Riding a failed bike can turn a breakdown into an accident — and often costs far more than the tow you were trying to save.

4. Call or WhatsApp a tow

Contact a 24/7 towing service with your location (a location pin is ideal — otherwise the nearest exit, landmark or building), your motorcycle model, and your destination. We operate around the clock, islandwide: call or WhatsApp +65 9824 5811.

Frequently asked questions

Can you reach me on an expressway?

We operate 24/7 islandwide, including expressways. Exact arrival time depends on your location and traffic — send your location pin and we'll give you an honest estimated arrival.

What if my motorcycle can't roll?

Tell us when you call or WhatsApp. Bikes that can't roll are loaded with proper equipment and strapped down for transport — it just helps us arrive prepared.

Where should I wait while help is on the way?

Somewhere safe and visible, away from moving traffic — behind a barrier if there is one, or inside a nearby open shop or petrol station. Never wait in the live lane beside the bike.

What information gets me the fastest quote?

Your pickup location or pin, your motorcycle model, and your destination. Add whether the bike can roll and any access limits (like a carpark height barrier) and we can quote immediately.

Broken down right now?

We're on standby 24/7, islandwide. Send your location pin, model and destination — we quote immediately, before the truck rolls.
